3rd ECO4ALL PhD Student Workshop: Great Research Isn’t Enough – How Early-Career Researchers Can Build Visibility and Create Opportunities
16 October 2026 | 15:00–16:30 Brussels Time | Online
COST Action CA22124 – ECO4ALL is pleased to announce its 3rd PhD Student Workshop, entitled “Great Research Isn’t Enough: How Early-Career Researchers Can Build Visibility and Create Opportunities”, taking place online on 16 October 2026.
The workshop is designed to support PhD students, Young Researchers and Innovators (YRIs), and early-career academics in developing the professional skills and international connections needed to advance their research careers.
While scientific excellence remains fundamental to academic success, building a sustainable research career also requires visibility, effective networking, strategic collaboration and the ability to identify and create new opportunities.
Through interactive presentations and discussions, the workshop will address four key dimensions of academic development: building research visibility, strengthening professional networks, creating opportunities for collaboration and career advancement, and overcoming common challenges faced by early-career researchers.
The programme will feature contributions from Vijay Lakshmi Burman, University of Eastern Finland (Finland), and João Gabriel Bessa, Universidad de Jaén (Spain), with opening remarks by Prof. Olesea Plotnic, Chair of COST Action CA22124 ECO4ALL, Moldova State University (Moldova).
The workshop will be moderated by Tarlan Ahmadov, ECO4ALL Young Research Mentor, Society for Inclusive and Collaborative Entrepreneurship (Germany).
This initiative reflects ECO4ALL’s continued commitment to supporting the professional development, scientific visibility and meaningful participation of Young Researchers and Innovators within international research networks.
Participation is free and open to all interested participants, including PhD students, researchers, academics and professionals interested in research development and international collaboration.
