Dear ECO4ALL Network Members,

ECO4ALL Action is launching a new call for application for the position – Young Research Mentor / YRM. This position is open to both MC and non-MC members.

In alignment with our commitment to fostering the development of young researchers and increasing youth participation within the ECO4ALL network, we are pleased to announce the opening of the Young Research Mentor position. This role is pivotal in guiding and supporting early-career researchers, enhancing their skills, and integrating them effectively into our collaborative projects.

Key responsibilities:
Mentorship and guidance: Provide regular support and advice to young researchers, assisting them in their current projects and professional development. This includes organizing regular online meetings and offering Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM) to the mentor’s institution.
Capacity building: Organize and lead training sessions, workshops, and seminars aimed at enhancing the research capabilities of young researchers within the network.
Networking facilitation: Encourage and support young researchers in participating in COST Action activities, such as Training Schools, conferences, and Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs), to broaden their professional networks and skill sets.
Inclusiveness promotion: Actively work towards increasing the participation of young researchers from Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITCs), ensuring diverse representation and engagement within ECO4ALL.
Leadership development: Identify and nurture potential leaders among young researchers, providing them with opportunities to take on leadership roles within the network.

The ECO4ALL Core Group will be collecting applications until April 8th, 2025.

The candidate selection process will take in consideration inclusiveness in COST activities, including (but not limited to) representation from COST Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC), geographical diversity, gender balance, and the empowerment of young researchers with final vote in Management Committee (MC).
