The Management Committee Meeting (MC1/GP3) of COST Action CA22124 – EU Circular Economy Network for All (ECO4ALL) was successfully held on 27 March 2026 at Universitas Mercatorum, Rome, Italy, in a hybrid format.
The meeting brought together representatives of the Management Committee from across the COST network to review the progress achieved during the third Grant Period (GP3), evaluate ongoing activities, and define the strategic priorities for the forthcoming implementation period.
The ECO4ALL Management Committee currently comprises representatives from 42 COST Member Countries and 75 Management Committee members. The meeting was attended by 33 MC members representing 26 countries, ensuring broad geographical representation and active participation in the Action’s governance.
During the meeting, the Action Chair, Prof. Dr. habil. Olesea Plotnic, presented a comprehensive overview of the implementation of the Action, including updates from the COST Association, achievements of the Action, budget implementation and financial planning for Grant Period 3, monitoring and reporting activities, grant implementation, Working Group progress, Gender Balance Adviser and Young Researcher Mentor activities, as well as the planning of future scientific events and collaborations.
As the governing body of the Action, the Management Committee plays a central role in ensuring the strategic coordination and successful implementation of ECO4ALL. It is responsible for overseeing the scientific direction of the Action, adopting key decisions, monitoring progress, ensuring compliance with COST policies, and promoting collaboration among Working Groups while fostering excellence, inclusiveness, and impact across the network.
The MC1/GP3 Meeting formed part of a broader series of scientific activities organised in Rome, including the Working Group 3 Meeting on 25 March 2026 and the ECO4ALL International Conference held on 26–27 March 2026, further strengthening cooperation among researchers, Management Committee members, and stakeholders from across Europe.
The Management Committee expressed its sincere appreciation to Dr. Maria Menshikova, local organiser and host representative at Universitas Mercatorum, for her outstanding coordination and dedication in ensuring the successful organisation of all three ECO4ALL events in full compliance with COST standards.
The meeting provided an important platform for strategic decision-making, knowledge exchange, and strengthening cooperation within the ECO4ALL network, supporting the continued implementation of the Action and the achievement of its scientific objectives.
