Call for Participation to the 10th ECO4ALL Webinar

The COST Action CA22124 – ECO4ALL (EU Circular Economy Network for All: Consumer Protection through Reducing, Reusing, Repairing) is pleased to invite researchers, policymakers, practitioners, businesses, young researchers, stakeholders and members of the wider scientific community to participate in the 10th ECO4ALL Webinar, organised within Working Group 3 (WG3).

Entitled “Enabling Circular Economy and Consumer Protection through Technologies, Businesses and Communities,” the webinar will take place online on 16 September 2026, from 14:00 to 15:30 Brussels time (CEST/GMT+2).

The webinar will bring together ECO4ALL researchers from different European countries to explore how technologies, business models and community-based approaches can contribute to the circular economy transition while strengthening consumer protection. The event will provide an interdisciplinary platform for exchanging research findings, practical experiences and innovative approaches, while encouraging further cooperation across the ECO4ALL network.

The event will be opened by Prof. Olesea Plotnic, Chair of COST Action CA22124 – ECO4ALL and Full Professor at Moldova State University, together with Dr. Maria Menshikova, Leader of Working Group 3 and representative of Universitas Mercatorum, Italy.

The scientific programme will address several complementary dimensions of the circular economy transition. Cecilia Isola, from Nova School of Law in Lisbon, Portugal, will present “Consumer Understanding of Circular Economy Commercial Claims & Labels,” focusing on the consumer dimension of circular economy communication. Tarlan Ahmadov, representing the Research Center for Business Sciences in Portugal and the Society for Inclusive and Collaborative Entrepreneurship (S4ICE) in Germany, will address “Support Mechanism for SME Circular Economy Transition.”

The programme will continue with Jelena Titko, from EKA University of Applied Sciences, Latvia, who will present “Urban Gardening within the Context of Circular Economy.” João Gabriel Bessa, from Universidad de Jaén, Spain, will discuss “Rethinking Photovoltaic End-of-Life Pathways Through Reuse-Centred Circular Strategies,” bringing a technological and reuse-oriented perspective to the discussion.

The webinar will conclude with an interactive Q&A session and closing remarks, providing participants with an opportunity to exchange perspectives, discuss practical experiences and identify new opportunities for research and collaboration.

The event is open to ECO4ALL members as well as external participants interested in circular economy, consumer protection, sustainability, innovation and interdisciplinary research. Participation is free of charge, subject to prior registration.
