COST Action CA22124 – ECO4ALL (EU Circular Economy Network for All: Consumer Protection through Reducing, Reusing, Repairing) is pleased to invite researchers, young researchers and innovators, academics, practitioners, stakeholders and members of the wider scientific community to participate in the 11th ECO4ALL Webinar, entitled “Bridging Research Generations: Senior Expertise and Young Innovation for a Circular Future.”

The webinar will take place online on 2 October 2026.

This webinar introduces a special intergenerational format designed to create a bridge between research experience and emerging perspectives. It will bring together established researchers and younger voices to exchange knowledge, research approaches, lessons learned and innovative ideas related to the circular economy.

The event will be opened by Prof. Olesea Plotnic, Chair of COST Action CA22124 – ECO4ALL and Full Professor at Moldova State University, who will introduce the concept of “Bridging Research Generations” and highlight the importance of knowledge exchange, mentoring and cooperation across research generations.

The scientific programme will feature contributions from invited guest speakers representing different academic backgrounds, institutions and generations.

Prof. Sakdirat Kaewunruen, from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, will present “Leveraging Creative and Systems Thinking Capabilities from Generations to Co-create Circular Future,” exploring how experience, creativity and systems thinking can contribute to developing new approaches to circularity.

Prof. Dubravka Akšamović, from Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Croatia, will address “Research Across Generations: Connecting Experience, Innovation and Circularity,” contributing to the dialogue on how established expertise and emerging research perspectives can complement each other.

Dr. Samuel Foli, from the European College of Innovation, Malta, will present “Exploring the Conditional TISM (cTISM) Method for Circular Economy Research,” introducing a methodological perspective relevant to contemporary circular economy research.

The presentations will be followed by an interactive Q&A session, giving participants the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers, exchange perspectives and discuss how intergenerational research cooperation can contribute to new ideas and stronger research networks.

Through this webinar, ECO4ALL aims to encourage dialogue between generations, facilitate the transfer of knowledge and experience, and provide a platform where established expertise can meet new research approaches and innovative thinking.

Researchers at all career stages, and particularly Young Researchers and Innovators, are warmly invited to participate in the discussion.
