The ECO4ALL COST Action (CA22124) announces the first call for grants under Grant Period 1 (GP1), supporting Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs). These grants provide financial assistance for researchers to conduct short research visits at institutions in other countries, fostering international collaboration and contributing to consumer protection through circular economy practices, particularly focusing on reducing, reusing, and repairing.

STSMs offer researchers the opportunity to build international networks, exchange knowledge, and engage in interdisciplinary cooperation. Eligible applicants include PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and scholars affiliated with research institutions. The host institution must be located in a different country from the applicant’s institution.

The funded missions must take place between February 12, 2024, and August 31, 2024. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with evaluations conducted monthly and results announced on the first day of the month following submission. Each successful applicant may receive up to €2,500, with a total budget of €13,000 allocated for this call.

To apply, candidates must register on e-COST, complete the online STSM application form, and submit the required documents, including a curriculum vitae (maximum three pages), an invitation letter from the host institution, and a budget justification.

Upon completion of the STSM, grantees are required to submit a scientific report and a short video summary within 15 days. These should highlight the research objectives, key findings, and contributions to the ECO4ALL Action.

More details, including application guidelines and eligibility criteria, can be found here. For further inquiries, applicants may contact Grant Awarding Coordinator, Dr. Andrius Puksas at andrius.puksas@vdu.lt.
