The COST Action CA22124 – ECO4ALL (EU Circular Economy Network for All: Consumer Protection through Reducing, Reusing, Repairing) successfully organized its 7th ECO4ALL Webinar, entitled “Challenges and Opportunities in Circular Economy Transition and Consumer Protection.” The event was dedicated to strengthening dialogue between academia, policymakers, industry, consumer organizations, civil society, and other stakeholders involved in the transition towards a more sustainable and consumer-centred circular economy.
The webinar attracted more than 100 unique participants, including members of the ECO4ALL network and a significant number of external participants representing public authorities, ministries, businesses, universities, consumer organizations, civil society, and other stakeholders from across Europe. The strong participation reflects the growing visibility and impact of the ECO4ALL network beyond the COST community.
The event was opened by Prof. Olesea Plotnic, Chair of COST Action CA22124 – ECO4ALL, who presented the strategic vision of the Action and highlighted the remarkable development of the network, which today connects more than 600 members from over 50 countries. During her opening remarks, she underlined the importance of stakeholder engagement and interdisciplinary cooperation in supporting evidence-based consumer protection policies within the circular economy transition.
The webinar also featured a presentation by Prof. Isidora Milošević, Leader of Working Group 2, who provided an overview of WG2 activities and stakeholder engagement initiatives, followed by the presentation of the webinar agenda by Aleksandra Fedajev, moderator of the event.
Participants benefited from valuable presentations delivered by distinguished stakeholders representing public authorities, academia, industry, and international organizations:

The discussions focused on collaboration opportunities between research institutions, public authorities, businesses, and civil society, highlighting practical approaches for advancing circular economy implementation while strengthening consumer protection and stakeholder engagement. The interactive discussion session further encouraged the exchange of experiences, good practices, and policy recommendations among participants.
This stakeholder webinar contributes directly to the implementation of Deliverable D5 – Technical Reports for Stakeholders, supporting the collection of stakeholder perspectives and translating research findings into practical recommendations and policy-oriented solutions relevant to decision-makers, businesses, consumers, and civil society.
