WG1. Circular economy process to empower consumers in green transition and data collection – With stakeholders
Task T1.1: Definition of the main challenges to the circular economy from political and operational perspectives.
Task T1.2: Definition of the circular economy process (inputs, outputs, possible outcomes, external variables, and the overall organization of the different systems in the participating countries).
Task T1.3: Definition of the consumer protection policies (legal framework, procedure and consumer protection authorities of the different systems in the participating countries).
Task T1.4: Identification of variables needed for analysis, for each participating country, to be shared among scientists for the following quantitative analysis that define and evaluate circular strategies implementation in the participating countries.
Task T1.5: Identification of the strengths and weaknesses of current consumer-level education for sustainable products in the participating countries.
Task T1.6: Data collection.
All the above tasks will be realised under Law, Environmental, Social and Economic dimensions with institutional stakeholders (National Ministries of Economics and Environment) and their divisions that collect and process data and tackle issues of circular economy efficiency. Such a framework will act as a complementary and detailed circular assessment of recognised sustainability schemes to support decision-making. so that consumers are better informed about the environmental sustainability of products and better protected against greenwashing.
DESCRIPTION OF DELIVERABLES AND TIMEFRAME
WG1. Collection (Q1 – Q4)
– Milestone M1: Obtaining homogeneous data collected at the national level as well as an inventory of
the challenges that need to be addressed jointly with stakeholders.
-Deliverables:
D2. One (1) State-of-the-art report/Intermediate scientific reports (working papers) to circulate in the
scientific community;
D3 List of variable needs (1 list throughout the action) for analysis, for each participating country, to be
shared among scientists for the following quantitative analysis;
D5 One (1) Technical report to be shared with stakeholders with main conclusions from previous
meetings and summary of the relevant national issues to be addressed
D9. One (1) Newsletter.
D10 One (1) Webpage (common for all WGs) with main results from the analytical stage of the project.
