Call for applications: Grant Awarding Coordinator Position in COST Action ECO4ALL

Dear ECO4ALL Network Members,
The ECO4ALL Action is launching a new call for applications for the position of Grant Awarding Coordinator (GAC). This position is open to both MC and non-MC members.

In line with our commitment to ensuring transparency, efficiency, and fairness in the management of COST grants, we are pleased to announce the opening of the Grant Awarding Coordinator position. This role is essential for the smooth implementation of grant-related activities within ECO4ALL and for supporting researchers’ mobility and dissemination efforts in accordance with COST rules.

Key responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage the grant awarding process on behalf of the Action Management Committee (MC), ensuring compliance with COST rules and internal Action procedures.

Review, approve, or reject grant applications (e.g. STSMs, Virtual Mobility, Virtual Networking Support, Dissemination and ITC Conference Grants) via the e-COST platform, providing clear justification where required.

Monitor the status of awarded grants throughout their lifecycle and review submitted grant reports, approving or rejecting them on behalf of the MC in line with agreed evaluation criteria.

Work closely with the Action Chair, Vice-Chair, and Grant Holder Manager to ensure timely processing of grants, smooth communication with applicants, and adherence to reporting and payment deadlines.

Ensure a transparent, fair, and non-discriminatory grant awarding process, while supporting COST principles of inclusiveness, geographical balance, and equal opportunities.

Selection process:

The candidate selection process will take into consideration COST inclusiveness criteria, including (but not limited to) representation from Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITCs), geographical diversity, gender balance, and relevant experience in coordination, evaluation, or grant management. The final appointment will be endorsed by the Management Committee.
